Welcome to the Karen Berry School of Dance, where we aim to encourage all students to achieve their personal best in their performance of dance by fostering a pleasant and stimulating learning environment. This information site is designed to give you the reader a brief introduction to the dance school.

The Dance school has its base at Danscentre, in the centre of Aberdeen , with branches situated at Rubislaw, Elrick, Cults, Peterculter, Craigiebuckler and Kingswells. Danscentre has three dance studios equipped with mirrors and barres, offering classes in ballet, ballet workout, jazz, jazz workout, teen jazz, contemporary, tap and highland.

It is the aim of the school to raise the status of dance from a pastime to a necessity, providing a training in dance that will lead to a lifelong relationship whether through participation or appreciation, recreational or vocational. By participating in dance children benefit not just physically, but mentally, socially and emotionally. At Danscentre, we pride ourselves in the professional service that we offer: the training and experience of our teachers and the quality of support given by our administration staff.

The ethos of the school and integrity of the training ensured that most of our pupils continue to dance recreational through teenage years and beyond, whilst many of our students are able to pursue careers in the world of dance.
