Commercial covers a huge area of dance with differing dynamic and style types. Classes focus on performance and style to popular music and current dance industry trends.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Commercial is energetic and dynamic, with a focus on style and performance. Commercial classes give students a chance to use technique they learn through their other classes in order to increase diversity of genres and give an extension to existing training. For others, Commercial offers a non-assessment route and can be an inlet into dance training.
LEVELS
AGE 12-13
Children must be aged 12 to take commercial classes due to the maturity and challenge of this dance genre. Initially, children are introduced to the unique performance skills required for commercial and focus on rhythm and stylisation.
AGE 14+
As children get older, they work to expand their performance skills and ability to take on more complex choreography, which requires maturity and confidence.
