Rosie Mackley 5.jpg

Rosie grew up in Aberdeen and danced at Academy Street Dance Studio before moving to Danscentre for pre-vocational training.

She then went on to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on their BA Modern Ballet degree in partnership with Scottish Ballet, receiving the prize upon graduation for best all round student.

While at RCS she toured with Scottish Ballet, performed at the Celtic Connections festival, represented RCS with the European Association of Conservatoires and won the choreographic competition, staging her work for the graduation performances.

During this time Rosie was also selected to be a Young Creative with One Dance UK and had her piece 'Surveillance' performed at the Royal Opera House and Southbank Centre.

Due to finishing her BA during COVID-19, Rosie then went on to undertake an MA in Dance Producing and Management with London Studio Centre and is currently undertaking the BBO Level 5 Diploma in Dance Teaching. She works in Aberdeen and across the UK as a teacher, performer, choreographer and producer and has recently been selected to choreograph a work on the residential performance company with the National Youth Ballet of Great Britain.
