End of Term Round Up: Autumn Term

We have had a very busy and exciting first term back, and we’re so pleased to share everything that’s been going on at Danscentre over the past few months. From welcoming new faces and launching trial classes, it’s been a packed and positive start to the first term. Scroll down to catch up on all the latest news and highlights from this term

A Warm Welcome Back

The studios have been filled with energy as classes returned in August, and it’s been wonderful to see both returning dancers and a wave of new students joining us, especially across our junior classes. Watching everyone settle in so well has been a joy, and we’re thrilled to see our dancers continuing to progress.

Trial Classes Now Available

This term, we introduced trial classes across all styles and age groups, and they’ve already proven popular! It’s been great to see new dancers stepping into the studio for the first time, giving classes a try, and discovering what they enjoy. It’s also been lovely to see our current students trying different classes and exploring more dance styles.

We look forward to offering even more opportunities for new students to join in the months ahead.

Adult Tap Classes Return

We’re thrilled to be resuming our Adult Tap classes after the October break! Starting the week beginning 27 October, we’re offering two fantastic Wednesday night classes:

·         Beginner’s Tap with Larissa

·         Improvers/Advanced Tap with Georgia

Whether you're just starting out or looking to brush up your skills, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome the group back into the studio very soon!

Bookings are now open! visit danscentre.com/adults to secure your space.

Fire Drills at All Venues

We’ve also carried out fire drills at all of our venues this term to ensure students and staff are familiar with procedures and safety routes. Everything ran smoothly and we’d like to say a big well done to all our dancers for taking part!

Staff First Aid Course

We’re also pleased to share that several members of our Danscentre teaching team completed a certified First Aid course this term. This important training ensures our staff are fully prepared to respond to any situation and continue to provide a safe and supportive environment for all our students.

Upcoming Exams

It’s been a focused and exciting few weeks as exam preparation gets underway across the school. Our Grade 2, Grade 6, Advanced Modern plus our Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate Ballet pupils are working hard towards their November exams. In addition, we have our Royal Ballet School ATAP 1–3 students preparing for their December exams.

Grade 5 Ballet and Modern students are also preparing to take their SQA NPA (National Progression Award) units in December, marking another important milestone in their training and progression!

We’re incredibly proud of all our dancers for their dedication, determination, and commitment in class. The effort you’re putting in is shining through, keep it up, and we can’t wait to celebrate your achievements very soon!
