End of Term Round Up: Winter Term

We have had a very busy winter term and have lots of exciting updates to share. Scroll below to read more about what we've been up to. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas break and Happy New Year - we can't wait to welcome you back to Danscentre in 2026!
Exams
We have had a jam-packed month of exams this December! Our dancers took on their, RAD, ISTD, ATAP, DC Awards and NPA examinations this month. Completing an exam, whatever the level is a huge achievement and everyone should be very proud.
We are pleased that our RAD and ISTD dancers have already received their results! Congratulations to our RAD Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate dancers, and our ISTD Grade 2, Grade 6, and Advanced Modern dancers. A fantastic set of reports.
Danscentre Uniform Boost
This term, we’ve carried out a uniform boost, highlighting the importance of every dancer having the right attire for class. Wearing the correct uniform helps dancers feel confident, stay focused and teaches discipline and commitment.
Jingle Bell Jam
Our P1-3 and P4-7 Jingle Bell Jam workshops were a blast and everyone had a great time! Thank you to all of our elf helpers for their energy and putting on a great performance for everyone that took part. Take a look at the photos to see what we got up to!
Dance Leadership
We would also like to offer our congratulations to our Dance Leadership students who recently passed their assessments and were awarded this nationally recognised qualification back in October. Our dance leaders took on the organisation of arranging and teaching their own dance class as part of assessment and an intensive week of study in the summer holidays. Well done to all our young leaders.
Robert Gordon's College Demonstrations
In the last week of term, a selection of our senior classes gave a class demonstration at the Craig Centre for Performing arts. The beautiful venue provided the perfect space for a small audience to watch our pupils in full flight, celebrating their progress and achievements.
Our Monday and Wednesday sessions were a huge success, thank you to all the pupils and families who joined us to make the day so special. It was a wonderful way to showcase the hard work and talent of everyone at Danscentre!

Defibrillator Fundraising
We are raising money towards a defibrillator for Danscentre to support and supply for the local area.
We have raised £670 so far and we are so grateful for all your donations so far. Please support our cause by giving what you can!

Term Dates
We will be closed from Saturday 20 December to Saturday 3 January (inclusive) for our winter break.
Classes will be back on the 5 January 2026! Wishing you a wonderful winter break and we look forward to welcoming you back in the new year.
Please note the uniform shop remains open for sales online with collections available from Monday 5th January. In person sales resume from Thursday 8th January.
